Be Missing You Denis

Well another day, another Batting Practice, but we had a great time and the weather wasn’t toooooo hot – but in the end we succumbed to the heat-wave teaming off the street !!!! :-0

Bob Ley came down to keep Denis company and a good thing he did!!! He talked Denis into using his pulse/ox finger meter (which he usually wasn’t carrying any longer since he didn’t need to monitor himself so much)  and Denis found out his pulse was up to 150 !!! That was just sitting in the cart NOT keeping score, NOT taking batting practice, NOT running the bases, oh yeah no one does that   Alerted to the current condition Denis got in touch with his doctor who directed him to the emergency room to check it out.

Long story short (I’m kind of short on time at the moment) Denis got his A-Fib fixed, he didn’t even feel like his heart was racing but after some WellStar assistance, he is back to rights again  Thank Goodness, and thank Bob for being there on the day to get that ball rolling …

Fortunately, this series of unfortunate events leads to Denis going to his daughter’s up in ATL for a short time before moving to the big FL in a few weeks to be with BOTH of his daughters.  So we don’t get much chance to say “thanks you and goodbye”.  No party for such a parting but thanks Denis for all the scorekeeping and keeping us straight at our stickball events, you and Griffin will be greatly missed by everyone!!!!! Denis takes his hat and jersey with him to hopefully encourage a new FL contingent to play the great game of stickball.  Spread the word Denis – let ‘em know what great fun and comradery we had here at SCP Stickball
